COURSE DESCRIPTION

The aim of Financial Management is to develop the knowledge and skills expected of a finance manager – in relation to investment, financing, and dividend decisions. The syllabus is designed to equip candidates with the skills that would be expected from a finance manager responsible for the finance function of a business and corporate finance decisions.

From a relational point of view, Financial Management builds on knowledge gained through studying Management Accounting and also prepares candidates for further study of financial management in Advanced Financial Management.

Talha A. Khan

Talha Ahmed Khan is an ACCA-Member, Associate Chartered Banker from The Chartered Institute of Bankers Scotland and also being MBA from Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Karachi. In addition he is also pursuing CFA and currently is CFA level II candidate. With aggregate experience of 7+ Years in the field of financial management and being educationist he have the required skill set for financial studies mentor.

Talha have hands-on experience in the field of financial management while working in Investment Banking and Corporate Finance divisions of various renowned financial Institutions. Currently he is working in Investment Banking Division of Faysal Bank Limited. Formerly he was affiliated with the Investment Banking divisions of MCB Bank Limited,
Albaraka Bank Pakistan Limited, Summit Bank Limited. He had also remained in the commodities research while working as research analyst with Arif Habib Commodities.

Talha remained as faculty member at various Business Schools and taught courses including Corporate Finance and Advance Financial Management. He is also working as mentor for O/A levels Accounting students and remained as visiting faculty at various pronounced schools and coaching center. He has always been an advocate of ethical learning with hands on experience rather of just “Printed” knowledge.
